.. don’t listen to this album. It’s going to make you really sad.

This compilation album from the netlabel S!te Records features 13 accomplished electronic musicians, each contributing one track.

The tracks are minimalistic in general, makes one feels really peaceful when listening to them. Strangely, I did not feel what the release title suggests while listening to it. One thing’s for sure, it does help boost my concentration while I was busy coding at work.

The tracks towards the end of the album are more melodic in general, starting from Embarassingly Pink Elephant to the last track, Danny Wallaper. If you know me, you would’ve known that my these more melodic tracks are my favourite tracks from the album. In fact one of them, A Sleepless Night (LOD remix) by Un Hombre Solo is the reason how I found this album. I heard the great track being played on an online IDM radio.

As I am doing this review, I have just realized that there is a part 2 to this album. Now that explains why the tracks are generally more melodic towards the end of the album: it could be the tracks that are leading the way to the more melodic second-part of the album.

Now off to my downloading of the second part.
