This is a free improvisation EP. I have not listened to much of free improvisation in the past, thus I apologise in advance if this review is not as accurate to listeners of free improvisation. In any case, do feel free to leave your comments on this EP after you have listened to it.
This is a collaboration between two freemusic artists, Tutu Combo and Heddy boubaker. According to the writeup at the release’s page, Tutu Combo is influenced by improvised electronic music while Heddy boubaker is more of a free jazz artist.
This EP does not sound very electronic and can almost be passed off as an acoustic work if not for the effects applied to the sounds. Even though intruments like accordian, guitar and violin are used in the making of this EP, this EP sounds rather ambient-y to me with some percussion noise rather than melodic sounds with pitch. I guess the noise is made by those instruments, though I wonder how they did it. Probably that’s why they are the free improvisation artist and I am not.
