‘In A Blue Face’ is full of IDM tracks of different moods and varying tempo. The melody is great, the beats are great, the variations are even greater. If you’re a sucker for rhythmic variations and/or jumbled beats, this is the album to listen to. On top of that, I like the way Wisp’s music is - it is normally straight to the point, no draggy ambient bullcrap. Just great melody and rhythm from start till the end.
Favourite tracks:
Daffodil - You’ve got to listen to the beats after the buildup at 1:53! And since this is the first track of the album, it sure is going to get your interest to listen throughout the album.
A Letter In The Mail - Just as you thought this is one slow relaxing soothing track, it just goes boom with the unique breakbeat Wisp style and you’ll almost immediately fall in love with this track.
