Bent Appletrees is a great melodic IDM album. I fell in love with it since the first time I listened to it and since it has quite easily become one of my favourite IDM releases.

All 13 tracks in this album are very beautiful and relaxing. Nothing special is achieved or noticed in this album, but being a normal and classic IDM album, it makes it such a pleasure to listen to, without the overkilling effect of trying to sound different from other IDM sounds. Atmospheric, use of noise/unconventional samples to form its beats, nice relaxing melody, somewhat slow but strong beat - all of those which makes a good classic melodic IDM album are there.

Favourite tracks:

Bent Appletrees
Being the title track of this album, it does not disappoint at all. Distorted beats + cutish melody line. However, personally I am not really so fond of the way this track ends, or maybe it’s just me.

Kontour (Rinse)
Nice intro and build-up. Simply love the strong bass beats. They go so well with this track.

Collins Park
A rather interesting track. The whole track sounds like one is listening to it through a telephone, but still makes a good song.

Kellychord
Unique beats with lo-fi Boards of Canada-ish sounds. Love it.
