Norwegian-based producer Impakt serves up 5 tracks of pure analogue electro goodness. If there’s one thing I can’t get enough of, its that warm fat sound. Old school drum machines and synths are the main ingredients in this EP, and its highly reminiscent of AFX’s “Analord” series, although less experimental and less of a head-f**k.

The tracks are in a moody, introspective style except for the oddly titled “Kylie Minogue Acid”. (Tried hard to find a connection between the two, but couldn’t !) Intricate TB-303 acid squelches weave in and out of the mix backed with various Roland beatboxes.

Best Track
The standout is “secret agents are fiddling my synths”. It starts off as the most dark and menacing of the 5 tracks, but then the halfway through the track the wicked main bassline changes and the beat gets faster, turning into a full-on dance track.
